Even if you aren't quite ready to break ground, but would like to get started in the planning of your dream home, Carbaugh & Root Builders offers the expertise of a full-time draftsman.
Drafting begins with a consultation where you describe what you would like in your dream home. Here we invite you to bring photographs from magazines, rough sketches, your ideas and your wish list.
After our first meeting, we will develop the first draft of your floor plan. From there we will meet one or more times to revise and finalize the details of your home's blueprint. When completed, we will provide you with five complete sets of blue line prints consisting of floor plan, foundation, and elevations. The average development cycle of a blueprint is 2-3 weeks, depending on the size and detail of the project.
To begin drawing, a $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required. Final fees are based on the size of home and final services requested. Should you become ready to begin construction on the newly designed home, the original $500 deposited will be credited to your construction contract.
Single Story Residences: Drafting of single story residences will be assessed at .35 cents per square foot for living areas. All garage and porch areas will be assessed at .20 cents per square foot.
For 1-1/2 and Two Story Residences: Drafting of two story residences will be assessed at .40 cents per square foot for living area. All garage and porch areas will be assessed at .20 cents per square foot.
Plot plans are also available at $30.00 per production hour.
